Hi,
We have completedin May and already been out in June but found that half the furniture and the kitchen was not delivered. Up to today they still have not been delivered but we have been promised next week. We go out next week again so watch this space. Its well worth it though when out there! Andrea & Russell | abar23 |

| I've received a letter from Giambrone & Law to say completion is likely to be May 08 and do I want them to try and litigate for losses. What is going on? | margaretb |

We had a letter from Italian connections last July saying that the apartments were complete.
In September Giambrone & Law wrote saying that the final payment must be in their NON INTEREST client account 7 days before completion. We transferred the money to them in early October and there it remains earning no interest. Has anyone else had this problem? | fizzipop |
| I've heard the same from G&L. But I've also had several completion dates or estimates going back to last summer! It seems they're discussing the actual mechanism of completion "en bloc", with around a dozen properties being done each day! It just confirms my experience that anything to do with lawyers is inefficient and costly! I'm inclined to bet that even the interminable inquest into Diana/Dodi will end before we get possession of our flats! | dirhams |
Hello,
My husband and I are in the process of trying to complete on the purchase of an apartment at Marasusa. Our solicitors are Giambrone and Law and they seem unable to give us a completion date. They have this week told us that the delay has been caused by the notary in Italy and that the notary and vendors are to meet on the 21st March to agree a completion date. Does anyone else have any further information. It just seems to be dragging on for ever.

| I am trying to complete on a property at marasusa and have now decided to take a morgage out can anyone reccomend a morgage company and has anyone else completed yet if so how much were the banks willing to loan against the bank valuations any advice would be very graetly appreciated. | db9 |
| 18/12/07 I understand from Italy today that completion is expected by the end of January. Letters (the text of which is being composed today) are to be sent out to purchasers shortly . | dirhams |
| I'm still waiting for completion at Marasusa. As I heard the property was ready in May I'd hoped to be able to use it last summer - no such luck! Am told completion is now close (but Oct. 15th was supposed to be the day). Is this just Italian red tape? In June/July the Villaggio looked excellent (swimming pool in full use and a dancing course in progress). In September it was deserted. The summer fires had not damaged anything, but the hillside on the Tropea side was blackened. The fire hydrants may have been put to good use! The fire brigade had also been called out. The swimming pool was affected by ash and needed cleaning again. Anyone any other news? | dirhams |
