I too have been thoroughly taken in by Dubai's potential. I have recently been making enquiries about the cube development and ahve actually come close to signing on the dotted line. Having done a little more research, in particular checking out forums, there seems to be alot of scepticism out there.  I agree with propertyking, that if Dubai gets what it hopes to in terms of sporting events, I fail to see the cube unable to profit significantly from this.

This will be my first overseas project and gues I'm a little scared about the whole process especialy considering the amounts of cash involved. Any advice or experiences would be graefully received, my head feels like it's about to burst!!!!!

I also looked at The Cube idea and must say I thought was over priced and really not compfortable about if one needs or wants to re sell.

I think other options in the area would be long term better placed and just cant get my head around lending the developer my hard earned cash. Can one really relie on how many days your apartment will be let and how many days you will be told it has been let?????

Having visited Dubai in April this year, I am intrigued by its drive to be the biggest and best in various areas, including tourism, a venue for sports events etc. As such, I would be interested in hearing others views on buying into the Condo Hotel concept, particularly The Cube, in Dubai Sports City, which I think is quite unique in several ways - architecture, concept, German build quality, payment ad discount structure, and lastly the projections on reurns. Of course the returns are something that one cannot take for granted but I believe if Sports City takes off as the way they expect it to then The Cube is well placed to gain from that.
