I have just found this website and I see that noboldy seems too happy with whats going on.
We bought two plots in 2005 and decided not to do anything with them, waiting to see how developments went on other plots. I am obviously sory that there have been problems but our dealings with Churchills OU have not been without issues. For us, they were supposedly managing two flats in Tallin but we didnt receive any rent all last year. I wasnt that surprised when we heard they had shut down in Parnu and Lee Williams disappeared.
We are planning a trip over in two weeks time - can anyone tell me what we can expect to find? Who should we contact - is there an office on site or not?
I have called Churchills Isle of Wight but only get an answerphone.
If we can help anyone during our visit then get in touch!

Glad to be of help. Keep us updated as to your progress!
Good luck,
Nic | Nicholas_Hillier |
Thank u very much to Nicholas and Tiicuol:)
I feel much better now and definately more optimistic. I think we are going ahead with our cabin and when we or our friends visit the site we will post the fotos. Best regards, JJ | JJ |
Hi JJ, You have mail.
I cannot comment on the "villas", only the log cabin builds.
In summary, Siiri has been a fantastic site manager over the course of my project and I wholeheartedly recommend her.
For all those planning to build, I advise you to arrange electricity connection to your sites prior to commencement as this process can take some considerable time. Also, attend to security measures and insurance promptly as there have been some significant breaches on site.
Churchills have indeed closed their office in Parnu with, it seems, some degree of fallout with regards to their other developments in the area. However, the Tahkuranna Beach Resort seems to have emerged unscathed being largely managed from the UK office. They assure me that they will be setting up a site office in the very near future to deal with building and subsequent lets. The local contact can be obtained from Gary at the UK office.
I have posted a couple of pictures on this site if anyone's interested. Would be great if others could share their experiences.
All the best,
Nic | Nicholas_Hillier |
| We received an email before Xmas from Siiri Radik. When we were in Parnu she showed us around the development. She informed us that Churchill closed there office in Parnu and she is working now for the building company. They offered us 2 dif plans of log cabins. But after all the info I am so concerned now. Can we trust them? It would be great to hear if someone is already living there or has a finished property? Any news are mostly welcome!!!! Best regards to everyone, JJ | JJ |
Is there anyone who bought a plot and is building a log cabin?
We visited the site last summer and were not impressed with
the quality of log houses at all. Not sure we want to go ahead with
Churchill building company. If someone is happy with their local
builders and can recommend them it would be great.
As well anyone knows if they have water and electricity on site?
Best regards,
JJ

Visit to site 13th-15th June 2007. We were very disappointed at the lack of building progress since our last visit in 2006 as we could only see four men working on the whole site and only seven Quatro villas being built of which only one seemed to be complete although the surrounding ground had still to be cleared for paths and garden.(see latest photos). On visiting Churchill's office in Parnu their representative explained that the build programme was running one year late at present due to a number of problems being. Shortage of manpower, shortage of materials from Russia and waiting times for water and electricity to be supplied on site. Churchill representative stated that steps were being taken over the next few weeks to overcome these problems by employing a further twenty workers on site, import materials from another source and plan to have all seventeen quatro villas along the right hand side of the site completed by december 2007. We would be interested to hear any of your views and thoughts.

Message for Timdiss. Progress photos of Tahkuranna beach villas and log cabins taken last October now in Progress Photo section. Hopefully with this winter being a lot milder in Estonia than usual the building progress will speed up and with luck our villa will be completed as promised when we go there in June.

We would be very interested to see the photos. Any chance you could post them on this site?

After contacting Churchill again we have now received photos of one nearly completed quatro villa and were informed that phase one was nearly completed and phase two should be ready by June 2007. We only got this information after a lot of phone calls and feel that we are not the only people frustrated with lack of forth coming progress reports by Churchill as we see that there are already three of these villas for resale at this early stage. Any one who has more news of this site please leave message.

| Any updates on the Tahkurrana development, has the development made any progress at all. any feedback would be appreciated | comcare25 |
| After visit to site in early June, we are slightly dissapointed in change to original floor layout, but decided go ahead with purchase. We are still waiting for a more definate completion date. If any buyers of villas know any more recent info we will be pleased to hear or if we get news we will post on this site. | tiiucol |
| We went out to the site in June and were disappointed to see that it was relatively unstarted. The area is rural with alot of potential.Appatently they had to change builders but we have been reassured that work is now back on schedule. We are going to go out and check on completion which is due in dec. | Timdiss |
| Anyone been out to Tahkurranna recently, I purchased a plot simply for investment and wondered how the development is going | comcare25 |
