an e mail has been sent today to all owners on the distribution list that the committee has    to inform people that we now have a private bulletin board site for the sole use of sunlight owners . the site has a general section for owners , a help and advice section , a section for committee announcements , a section enabling owners to post their planned dates at sunlight , and a chat facility .

from the end of the month committee announcements and progress reports will only be posted on that site , this will replace the need for e mails that have previously been sent out and also postings on this eyeonworldwide site which is not private . it  will allow owners to share news and views on a  secure private bulletin board site .

 Keyvan here (84), i'll be flying out to  Bodrum Wed night 25th and landing early ours of Thutsday 26th from Gatwick . i dont know who and how to contact in Tunli to let them know that i willbe arriving late ... i was told there is no Elctricity  in the flat on arrival and i need to  let Tunali know some how that i am  hetting there around 3 am .. if any one of you guys has any idea or some how pas the mesage to them or perhaps to Martin and MAndy (58) if you  are in contact with them , i really appritiate it ..

i spoke to omer on the phone yesterday .  there is still no site manager or internet on site although i was told that tunali are trying to progress both ..............................

Hi Jumbo, I have sent several emails to Omer, but have not yet received a reply.  I can not reach him by phone.  So we have no idea what his intensions are at the moment.  He may be away, but then again, someone should be looking after our concerns.   I will keep trying and let you know.

There was a meeting that took place in the 49ers bar with some commitee members & Omer Tunali on 24th May. Omer Tunali stated that there would be a new site manager appointed in 15 days time. Can anyone confirm if this has happened or did Omer just buy another 6 months.

Just back from our break in the sun.

Firstly i would like to thank Paul we think the job you are doing is fantastic and will continue to support in any way we can. It was nice to put faces to so many names.I hope those we met arrived home safely, and those who are still there are enjoying themselves in 49ers.

Thankyou David,Sue,David for makeing us welcome, again the task you have taken on is massive but you have the belief and more importantly the passion to succeed i wish you well ,we like others will continue to support you as much as possible.I feel 49ers will become a major part in forming the bedrock of the community we so need.

HI ALL, WE HAVE AT LAST RECOVERED FROM OUR HOLIDAYS. SORRY ABOUT THE LONG POST, WE HAVE TRIED TO DETAIL HOW THINGS WHERE SO YOU CAN SEE THE PROBLEM.

BUT WE FEEL WE NEED TO COMMENT ON ONE OR TWO POINTS THAT OCCURED WHEN WE HAD OUR MEETING WITH OMER FROM TUNALI ON SATURDAY 24/05/2008, THAT WENT WELL I WILL ADD.

IT WAS AGREED THAT PAUL WOULD CHAIR THE MEETING, WITH THE SUBJECTS THAT NEEDING ADDRESSING (TAPUS,MAINTANCE PAYMENTS,UPKEEP OF THE SITE, ETC)AFTER THAT IT WOULD BE PUT TO THE FLOOR FOR ANYONE WHO WANTED TO COMMENT ON ANY SUBJECTS, WHICH WE DID.

ON SEPERATE OCCASIONS THE FIRST BEING DEREK UNDERMINDING MARY WHEN SHE WAS ASKING OMER ABOUT OPENING A BANK ACCOUNT FOR ALL MAINTAINECE PAYMENTS, ON WHICH DEREK SAID HE DIDN`T AGREE TO THIS , BUT IT HAD ALREADY BEEN DISCUSSED  THAT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA AT AN EARLIER MEETING WE HAD ON THURSDAY. WHICH MARY POINTED OUT OUT TO DEREK, HE THEN AGRUED WITH MARY THAT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE.HE WAS HAVING NONE OF IT,HE WAS THEN ASKED BY MARY AND PAUL TO LEAVE IT TILL LATER. AS WE ARE DOING THIS AS A COMMUNITY NOT AS INDIVIDUALS.

THE NEXT ISSUE WHICH AROUSE WAS WHEN DEREK INSISTED THAT THE MEETING BE FINISHED EARLY BEFORE WE HAD GONE THROUGH ALL THE ISSUES, AS HE WANTED TO TALK PRIVATELY WITH OMER, AS HE WAS WAITING TO GO FOR DINNER, LIKE THE REST OF US AS IT WAS 8PM. AND DESPITE BEING ASKED 4 TIMES BY PAUL AND OTHER PEOPLE NOT TO DO THIS,  HE STILL INSISTED YET AGAIN  THAT HE WANTED TO, AND WE FEEL THAT THE WAY HE BEHAVED AND UNDERMINED THE WHOLE COMMUNITY WAS COMPLETLY OUT OF ORDER. AND WAS OUT OF LINE.

AND AS A RESULT  WE ARE PROPOSING THAT HE SHOULD RESIGN FROM THE COMMITTEE.IF HE WILL NOT RESIGN I WOULD LIKE TO PUT A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE AS WE FEEL THAT HE IS NOT WORKING AS PART OF OUR COMMUNITY AND FOR OUR BEST INTEREST.

Hi to all

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay out at Sunlight over the last  few weeks.  As I write this, the sky is gray and dull and it has rained most of the day!!  Ah, the joys of living in Northern Ireland.  It was great  to meet so many lovely people.  A special word of thanks to Sue and David at the 49ers  -  you have done wonders and its great to have somewhere so nice to meet the neighbours over a wee swally.  The food is great too.

Special thanks also to Paul for his tireless work on our behalf.  More thanks to Paul ,Mary and Larry for their support with our wee problem.  It was so kind of you.  We will keep you posted as promised

To Tommy and Janet, Janet and Albert, Phil and Jane (and Jane's Mum and Dad) and all the others  -  it was great to meet you.

hi all,just a quick post as we got back from sunlight early hours of this morning. Well yes the site is looking better and this is due to paul  spending his holiday constanly  on the phone and e-mailing tunali which is one reason why omor came to see the site and talk to the commity members on saturday (but more about that when i have recovered maybe tomorrow). THE 49ERS is great place  well done to sue and david. You get a great welcome,hi i`m sue i work here, david thinks differently lol only kidding you two.

On a more positive note, I have just returned, and through Paul and others fight on your behalf, the place is looking good, (could of course be a lot better and I have no doubt it will be ) but I have really enjoyed my week.  The views are great, my apartment was fresh and clean after No-nem done a great job, the beer was cold in the 49er's and the Tunali staff on site were great, pleasant and helpful.

May I suggest that all who visit, pop in and give a few words of support to Paul and David and Susan.  It must be realised that Paul is working extremely hard while on holidays their and any help you can give him, would be much appreciated. David and Susan are doing a great job, its such a focal point within the complex, people were meeting, and having fun.  Well done to you both and thank you.

What we dont want to loose site of here is the fact it effects all of us.

There will be times when we all have a difference of opinion as we did last week jim, but we do  need to stand together and fight this as a complete group .

Tunali staff tried last year to form little sections on the complex by telling tales and lies about different owners knowing fully that it would be passed round the complex and cause a divide.  if we stand together in this  we can resolve all our differences at a later date regarding issues that effect us all but please dont give the developer the benefit of thinking we are divided here.

Yes I do now understand where you are coming from & I am quite sure that we have been dealing with Tunali for almost as long as yourself & want to see the back of them. But still feel they need to be made aware that they are still being held responsible for the condition of the site. Hopefully we are getting close to making a decision as to what route to take to let them know we mean business.

jim thanks but i am tied up with egypt at the moment and as my wife is egyptian it kinda takes priority ..... but i have very very reliable sources who have keys to my appartment and let me know what is what  including the nice amount of damp i have . but yes i will be coming over but weddings take arranging and cost money which is what i have been doing hence not visiting

but will be going to have longggggggg chat with my old mate mr tunali when i get over as long as its with the committees blessing as i am not going to do a loose cannon but please excuse my srcasm towards tunali but as i have been dealing with them almost the longest and have been talking to there wall the longest you have to understand my frustrations please feel free to checkout the earliest blogs on this site and you will see what i mean best regards jamie

if you cant get a sunbed go and ask the developers for  one there should be plenty of cash in the petty cash tin to provide one for every guest ,friend  , cousin and any other relation,

I think its about time you exposed yourself not literally but by getting on a plane Bodrum bound. Take a look at the place for yourself & make your own judgement rather than making sarcastic comments about something you have not seen for ages. Also by going out there you could make yourself a bit useful by dealing with Tunali personally.

IN NO WAY DID I MAKE OUT IT WAS ALL OK AT SUNLIGHT .

JUST SAYING WHAT I SAW .YES THERE IS LOTS OF PROBLEMS AND THE COMMITTEE IS DOING A GRATE JOB OUT THERE .

people reading clifford,s posting might think all is well at sunlight but it is definately NOT  .

the site is being tidied up but only because some members of the committee put a geat deal of pressure on tunali for several days in order to get anything done at all . if this hadnt been done owners would have found the complex in darkness with grass / weeds up to chest height .

we need the complex tidy , well maintained , and well managed for 12 months a year not just for the two weeks that lots of owners are due to visit .

all the other problems remain - a dangerous and unmaintained childrens play area , no internet , not enough staff on site , no site manager for the last 7 months , current staff not being paid regularly , damp problems affecting the majority of properties and water coming in through the front door seals and the balcony doors , problems with drains , confusion for many about TAPUs , no aftersales service with no staff on site or in the office able to speak english .  the list of problems goes on and on with little prospect of the developer taking things seriously .

please keep the pressure up on tunali and please support the committee in our attempts to get an alternative site management company running the site .  we also need to stick together as a community , support eachother , and not let self interest dominate .

CAME BACK FROM SUNLIGHT LAST NIGHT TUNALI MEN WAS ON SIGHT CUTTING THE GRASS .THERE WAS LOTS OF BLACK BAGS FULL SO I WOULD THINK IT WILL ALL BE CUTT BY THE END OF THIS WEEK .THE CAFE LOOKS GRATE AND YOU ALL WAYS GET A WARM WELCOME FROM ALL THE PEPOLE WHO LIVES OUT THERE ON SITE THE SWIMING POOL IS NICE AND BLUE BUTT COULD AT THE MOMENT .WE HAD ARE DAMP SORTED OUT WE HAVE A GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT AND WE WAS HAPPY WITH NO -NEM THEY HAD DONE A GOOD JOB THEY PUTT A BOUT THOUSAND HOLES IN ARE WALLS JUST ARE LIVING AREA .WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE DANNY AND JEAN LIVING OUT THERE NEXT DOOR SO THEY KEEP A EYE ON ARE PLACE AND KEEP ARE GARDEN NICE AND MARTIN AND MANDY LOOKS AFTER US AS WELL .ALL WE NEED NOW IS ARE TAPU LIKE MOST OF US ???

noahceleb is absolutely right - we should be looking beyond the grass cutting and the lights as this is only scratching the surface of a much bigger problem .  our developers continually fail to deliver , continually make promises that are not kept , and continually come up with excuses the latest one being the maintenance payments .

yes many people do feel these excuses are smokescreens as noahceleb points out .

yes the minibus is moving because i made a big fuss about this and today there are 3 trips taking place . i was told that before i arrived it hadnt moved for a long time .

yes most of the lights are now working because i complained to the son of the owner 4 times about this . 

but lets think about the bigger picture ...........

as we are all aware that if grass and weeds are left then they will get out of hand and look unsightly very quickly. i can fully understand anyone visiting being upset at seeing there beautiful surroundings being spoilt by this unsightly mess. and for anyone not wishing to rent out in the present conditions when they previously believed they would be able to

the grass and weeds can easily be rectified and by doing so remidies the problem and looks so much better instantly .  i am sure most are aware that this should be done with the maint monies collected .so what happened last year ?. i personally believe this is a smoke screen and think they are trying to divide the community by pointing out who and who has not paid there fees if they can tell me i owe £15 then how can they leave large amouints of monies uncollected . would anyone reading this not take legal action it they were in the right ?????

as for the other issues that they have been reluctant to rectify and that  are not being addressed in any shape or form they have been  paid for when everyone originally purchased on sunlight  .we  have not seen any sign of the internet, the play area is atroious the damp issue is still being denied and tapu's have been very very slow , the habitation cert  has not been applied for hence higher electric prices. oh and does the bus move at all now

there willl always be times when we will all have a difference of opinion on how things should be run on the complex or on who should be doing this and  that but at the end of the day this is OUR complex and we should be running it. or at least having our say on how it is run. tunali stated that they were going to run it for 12 months not 2/ 3 or maybe 4/ 5 /6 years who knows

mags posted earlier that not many people are contacting her regarding any problems or suggestions.

i know that several people on this forum  have not updated there email details  when they have changed there email  address ,so therefor they do not get any pm replies when they post on here, maybe this has been there choice for what reason i am unsure if they ask a question surely they want the reply, if this is the case and mags does not have there recent email then they will not get there mail from the committee. may i suggest that anyone who has changed there email recently to let mags have it as it may prove to be important at some point in the close future.

i do not wish to sound cocky or balshy but i realy do feel that the surroundings at present are a little bit of the whole picture which could quite easily start to crack if we do not look deeper than grass and weeds . at the end of the day the developer has not delivered . we need to stand together and support each other .

The news about the condition of Sunlight is not only upsetting but deepens my concerns regarding just how long this can go on before we end up with property that we no longer which to visit. I regrettably have arranged for good friends to use our apartment in August , rather than a proud moment I fear it will be a sheer embarrassment for us !

Regarding maintenanice fees I like others had expected Tunalli to have long since gone and look forward to the day I can pay my maintenance fee up front to our appointed management company. I have always been willing to pay this years fee but understand that the majority of owners have not. Can anyone clarify just how many owners have not paid ? If we are in the minority we will of course make a payment. The situation is delicate I will not make a payment for it to dissappear as a drop in the ocean. If Tunalli are about to vacate I will be the first to pay if /when a new management  company is installed.
