We went out at the end of March early April and it wasn't much better then. We had Ali digging out cars and tractors being arranged to get people to the made up roads so they could make their airport runs.

There's also a small gathering of Sun Village residents on Absolutely Altinkum too.

I visited in February 2008 to see how things were going around the appartments - roads even worse than lat year.  Work underway for a mini-market next to the pool and some pool repairs being undertaken.  Ali was busy getting the gardens tidied for the forthcoming season.

The weather was like a good Spring here in the UK but very cool in the evenings.

The Marina development is progressing well but doubt it will be finished by June as anticipated.

Must confess that the area was fantastic 'off season' and really enjoyed the complete rest and relaxation.  The cooler temperatures meant that the views out to sea were perfect - the islands etc were so clear.  Looked like a completely different place without the heat mist.  But the building works around the property are still progressing and the roadways are unbelievable - one night could not find appartment at all and Ali had to come out on his bike to find us!

Visted 28th May for 2 weeks.  Apartments now complete and moved into ours on the 31st.  Just snagging work being completed in some parts and shower cubicles still to be fitted.

Pool fully functional now.

Turkish bath and Sauna complete.  No gym equipment in the fitness room yet.

Planting undertaken in the grounds - grass growing.

Windows etc. for snack bar area were put in whilst we were out there but not fitted out as yet.   

Still no proper road to the complex but due to start work once finished on site.

Ali advises he will have a vehicle by the summer to transfer to/from Altinkum.

Photos taken 13th May 2007. Shows view to the front of the complex as well as internal shot of typical kitchen furniture. The light fitting appears to be standard in each of the apartments.

The last photo shows that there is still a clear line of sight from entrance of Block B down to coast and although not clear in the photo, the sea and the mountains on the other side of the bay were visible.

Most of the external work appears to have been completed although pathways and borders were still being worked on as were the pool and the 'leisure facilities'. The internal staircase to the upper floors had also been completed.

I have been told that the complex is now virtually complete, although some apartments are still not ready. Sun Village looks as though it will be a great place to holiday............ 

Richard, sorry for not getting 'round to adding any text with the photo's but, yes - the gym is in the basement of block A, as is the sauna & Turkish bath. I have been told by the Developer that we will also have a cafe by the pool.

At the time of our visit (end September) the apartments were being plastered internally and the Developer told us that they anticipated finishing well ahead of schedule, possibly even December.

There was no other building work underway in the vacinity. However, Mese have just released Sun Village Villas which are to be situated at the back of our apartments, to either side of those villas that are already built behind ours. These are 2 stories high and so hopefully the area around will remain low rise.
