Thanks very much for your advice. It is really important just now that I know for definite if it is illegal to transfer money without the full planning permission being in place. Can you let me know how you find this out? I do not wish to be nosy but wondered if you have a legal background perhaps or did your solicitor tell you. I would be very grateful if you could let me know asap as we are taking action soon.

CASPER999 We are purchasing an apartment in El Caribe with Italian Connection.We went to Italy this month and there is no work being done. Have been advised after many requests for info that there are no delays because of planning permission but that it is not expected that the project will be completed by the original date of May 2009.The builders are not giving any start date.Obviously the bank guarantee will cover any unforeseen occurrence but the lack of communication to customers who have paid 50 per cent deposit is very bad.
We are also having problems getting info from the solicitors recommended to us by the company.ie. the signed copy of the attachment A which shows the agreed spec for the flats.Polite questions are being dealt with in an abrupt arrogant manner. Anyone else having the same problem? Also quite a few couples from Scotland were in the hotel on the weekend we all went round the various sites to look at the projects, can you please leave me a message to share your experiences.This is becoming quite worrying when simple questions are being met with defensive responses.

I bought on El Caribe in April 2007 with Italian Connection. They tell me there's news from the developers any day now which will be circulated to all buyers.
He also said he had no news that the development would be delayed but surely they must have started building if this was true. | Dino M |
| Apparently the correct planning permisions and licenses are not in place on this development that is why it is taking so long best check with your solicitor and request copies of them | db9 |

Note your post is some time ago -about the time when we last heard anything substantive about our proposed purchase -in fact it has all gone very quiet.
