Can anyone tell me when Renaissance was supposed to be finished and if this is on their contracts.

When we bought the apartment the MRI rep was all  'buy three now and then sell two before completion'  it sounded so easy!   Your 'guaranteed rental' would pay all overheads and make you a tidy profit ........... what lies we fell for!  You live and learn..............  expensive lesson though!bubsy
We have had our apartment for sale with MRI for over 12 months with no interest whatsoever.  We have reduced the price to below what we paid for it and they still can't sell it.  As regards rental from the developer, some people who signed a rental agreement for Palazzo for last summer still haven't been paid.izzy

Does anyone know of any Bulgarian Estate agents who might be willing to take on the resale of our apartment.

I wrote to one who advertises here (Ireland) but they only take on apartments they have sold themselves.   We have it with MRI but I am not very hopeful.     Perhaps the property prices are rising but we really want to get out of it before the balance is due next year.   

Has anyone tried the 'private sale' route?

With the development being a year late has anyone been offered any form of compensation, either from MRI or the developer?

When we bought we were told that the developer would be renting out the appartment at 6.5%. The solicitor confirms the developer will rent but has not got any specifics at present. Can anyone up date me on this?

Has anyone heard of any problems with Renaissance being built.  Apparently completion has now been put back to at least May 2009.

Just thinking.............Does anyone think that we might be able to back out of buying and get our money back.    A years delay seems excessive no matter what 'force majeure' there is.bubsy

I suppose everyone has heard that the completion date is about a year later than we had planned for.

We have decided to sell before completion and have advised MRI to put it on their list.

Has anyone had any luck in selling before completion in Sunny Beach?

hello, just joined this site and have heard a couple of bad things about this developer from a friend who has bought in palazzo. something about a hidden tax payment, dont wish to scare anyone just wondering if the same has applied to anyone in renaissance. maybe a bit early to know but needed to ask. thanksjonn1878

We were over there last week.  No work going on but the sub floor appears to be in.   It is in a good location and finished places around it look well.  bubsy
I have heard that MRI charge 10% commission when doing resales!   That  will knock the profits...............bubsy
We  also bought in September '05.   The latest I heard is that building has stopped for the summer months and the finish date is now June 2008 which more than likely means that the guaranteed rental will not kick in until Summer 2009!    We also bought in another complex which is completing this month so we will be over there in July and will have a look at the place.  We will probably want to sell before completion  as we do not want to go the the expense of furnishing it.  If anyone has any info about selling before completion I would love to hear it.bubsy

I bought in Renaissance in Nov 2005, and although the price was high, similar properties (Palazzo) are now on sale for circa 90,000 euros which is a small mark up, but considering the fact that the place is still a building site and ours has not even started is not too bad.  Of more concern is the rental problems the Pallazo gang are having.

We bought Renaissance in October 05. So far we have not seen any advertising for this project. Just wonder who else has bought there and if you are satisfied with progress? knarf
