Loooks like GPD investments have now got the final ok and will issue final contracts in June

build starting in July 09 finish in Nov 10 3 years late but price gone up from £65 K  to £95 and will be worth more by 2110

But Im going to sell as soon as I get my building contract for £88 K anyone interested in buying my 30% deposit out let me know - I need money now not in 2110

Park Lane wont be completed until 3rd Quarter of 2009!

Currie & Brown has scooped the PM and cost roles on two major developments in Dubai.The first, for client GPD Investments, will cover 800 hectares with a mix of residential apartments to house 60,000 people in the heart of the Emirate state.
C&B will manage construction of a number of six-storey buildings. The total value of the project is around AED 200 million.
Meanwhile, in the Business Bay, the firm will project manage a AED 250 million office and retail high rise development. The site, situated on the Sheikh Zayed Road, will see dual commercial towers with four basement car parks including retail units and 16 levels of office accommodation. 
Both projects are scheduled to complete during the third quarter of 2009.

Just spoken to developer Gpd investments, who tell me project has been delayed and will complete in Dec/January 2009 (12 MONTHS LATE)

The reasons given was that the infastructure and ground works is carried out by Nakeel and they wont allow work to commence on the build until this is all in place.

Well Ive put in £20k in jan 07 and getting no return for another 12 - 18 months. They tell me prices have gone up but im concered that by the time it does eventually get built the property bubble in Dubai will havw burst.

I have a 3 year rental agreemet of 8% net but the rentals are based on the purchase price so they will be lower than the going rate by the time the development is built.

If I pull out Ill loose 50% of my deposit so I'll have to grin and bear it for now. Lets hope our interest rste fall

hi garry 4 set, i have paid a deposit as well in febuary same deal, 64k 3yr rental, through dream homes too i was told two weeks ago by dream homes that they have cleared the ground, but not sure how reliable, do you know how we stand for getting deposit back. brendan92brendan92

Still no news on start date for Park lane Int city Dubai 

Hi still not had any further info since I paid my 30% deposit back in Feb 07

Developer told me they had no firm date to start even though the project was due for Jan 08 (ha) Im begining to think it was pie in the sky to get the project sold and deposits in. If I dont hear by end of Sept latest I will try ti get my money back

Any one got any news post here

paid 65k for 6th floor with 3 years rental agreement.
