hi gerrydel from ireland here . i too have the same gripes as i purchased a t2 appart. at oceanville , very dissapointed to say the least , i believe mark is going over in a few weeks , perhaps he will have further info for us then.gerrydel

I too feel very sorry and regreatfull about Ocean Ville. However I cant let my heart rule my head anymore. But to compensate I have been fortunate enough to purchase a beautifull T2 apartment with 120sqm in a convenient location with high rental potencial located in Albufeirawith a large pool and tennis courts for 179 000€ , absolutely beautifully finished.

Its not as exciting as Ocean Ville but its good value for money and uncomplicated. Best of all condo fees are only 55€ a month and my propertie is key ready so ready for rental next year.

I almost bought 2 but like I said to the rep at time Ocean Ville has left a bad taste in my mouth ." Once bitten twice shy".

Wishing you all the best of luck KAZ

All on here: As Kev has said, there is another message board OceanVille 08 with more users all with the same gripes. We are working together to try to get something sorted out regarding the furniture, so please make your feelings known on the other message board and we can add you to our growing list of petitioners! richyrich
We are going out on 11th August and we have been told directly by Pluri that the pool and furniture will be ready. Has anybody heard differently?Pete G

Hi, I have bought an appartment in Oceanville.  I think the lack of communication from the developers is an absolute disgrace. I have bought a lot of properities and I have never dealt with people like this before.  Its very disorganised I am not happy with the PlurHolidays and the way the are trying to set up the renting of the properities, there is a lot of questions that have to be answered here, they want it all there own way which shouldn't be allowed.  Also the insurance of our appartments should be taken into account with the maintenance fee.  The way thing's are been done is not very professional, the complex is lovely, lets not destroy thing's by cutting corner's and letting people have there own way greed can destroy thing's.  There has to be give and take on both sides.  The completition date has changed three times, they change the rules as they wish, this cann't continue and is very un proffessional.  Stop the shadow boxing and let us know what's happening,        Aidan.

We purchased a one bedroom apartment in October 2005, through MRI. Initially we were told completion would be summer 2006, but as we all know that has not happened. With regard to the furniture package for €12,000, We also think this is totally unjustified, however, initially we were told that we MUST purchase through the developer, then at the last minute this changed, but our solicitor advised that we take up the developer's package to save time!. Which foolishly we did, then we have had to wait over a month just to get a mortgage document witnessed at Portuguese consolate. This is our first purchase abroad and whilst we expected some difficulties, the lack of communication from MRI has been a major issue for us and we will not use them again.kev patrick
I have got a one bedroom T1 in the aparthotel. I agree the 12,000 euro figure for furniture is totally unacceptable. I have told my solicitor and MRI. I think if we all refuse to pay the 12,000 we would all stand a good chance of getting a reduction from the developer as no court would stand by the developerSurinder
i also purchesed a property in oceanville off mri which i would advise against. i will be in portugal on 15/05/07 to check out a few things, about said furniture package 15000euros i dont think. any experiences please post. i will advise when i get back on 22nd.notahappycamper
