Hi Tom!

Have just joined this site so I don't know if you still frequent it but we have two apartments in Mountain Dream and perhaps we can start a discussion going and perhaps swap some pictures.

Regards

We first went to Nessebar on the Black sea Coast and found it to be a great little olde worlde village on a small peninsular of land. Had a great time there for a couple of days, but found the nearby Sunny Beach area very bland, just sand, sea and many hotels.

Then up to Bansko. Weather was good overall...just one day of rain and one dull day, otherwise sunny and warm.

Old Town was fairly quiet as it was about a week past their end of summer season, but very nice all the same.

Roads were up all over the place...apparently to install a new water main or drainage.

Mountain Dream is looking great as you approach through the trees, but two new buildings (apartment blocks ?) have appeared nearby,  one down the hill a little and one between Mountain Dream and the main road going up the mountan. It is disappointing to see these closeby, but in truth they do not affect our view too much.

Our apartment in `A` block has been plastered,  windows and patio doors on, and fireplace in, bathroom half tiled, wires in wall awaiting points and switches,...maybe finished in December

I judge that the common areas will be finished around the beginning of February, and the main block (hotel) and outside areas and roads to be finished around April or May....but don't quote me on this, it`s only my opinion!!  Also the other two nearby construction sites are behind ours in time and I believe will continue for some time.

Agents etc. in Bansko are saying that it will not matter if outside areas are not complete, because in December there will be 12" of frozen snow over all.

There is talk that the possible airstrip to be made use of nearby (30 or 40 Kilometres away) is fairly certain to go ahead, but will not be in use for at least 3 or 4 years.

   Thats all for now,

We last visited Bulgaria in Sept. 05 and paid full price for our tickets.

This time we are flying there and back for a total fare of £121, with Wizzair from Luton (which is convenient for us). The down side is that the flights are at unsocial hours....flying out at approx 10 p.m. and coming home on a flight at 6 a.m.

We are flying to Bourgas for Nessebar, (our first visit to Black Sea coast) staying for a couple of days to check out the area, then maybe coach to Bansko to visit our apartment.

will post info on trip in couple of weeks.
