Hi - we have had the same issue having paid our deposit in September 2004 with scheduled delivery for Q3 2006.

We re-negotiated with the developers to waive all interim payments until final delivery which was then schedule for Q2 2008.

I now have a date of 6th August to go and pick up the keys.

It has been a very long and frustrating journey but at last the end is in the sight.

Lets hope it has been worth it.

My husband and l have just got back from a visit to Marina del Sol and were very disappointed to see that very little had been done to our house in 8 MONTHS !!!!!

We have met other English people who are in the same position as us and so although the developer has told us it would be ready in Sept 08, it does not look as though any work is going on .

If anybody out there has anything to add and would like to contact me through this site please do .

Hi there to anyone who has bought at Marina del Sol near Aigues Morte.

My husband and l live in the South of England and  had an apartment in a Marina in Barbados for 9 years, which we have just sold . We decided to buy in France as the children would not visit us in Barbados as it was too far and too expensive .

We love the idea of travelling  just 1 1/2 hours to our new home .

At the moment we know 2 other couples who have bought in  Marina del Sol , both live quite close to us. The three of us have all bought to use not to rent ( may be rent to friends).

l have quite a few photos as we went over in Sept  to see how it was getting on .

We would love to hear from anyone who has bought there , so please write a message on the message board.

We bought through a Company called MRI who have really helped us with all the paperwork and translation .

looking forward to hearing from you

Hi there, I live in Ireland and I am currently thinking of purchasing a villa off-plan in Marina Del Sol, Aigues Mortes, France. It seems quite a small, quite and remote location and I would be interested to hear from other purchasers in relation to their thoughts on its investment potential (in terms of both rental and capital appreciation). I don't know the area well, I have heard good reports but given that it is relatively expensive I would be keen to hear people's views on this development. Is it more attractive than a unit in the city (Montpellier/Nimes) or right on the beach (Camargue)? If so, why is that? All feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance for any advice. LennyLenny
