Hi,
Ive just heard of this website and have received the letter seeking to ammend the terms of the lease. I am concerned about it and think it is a good idea to try to get together to figure out how to handle it.

To all Beaumarchais owners. If you have received a letter regarding amendments to the lease and imposing extra charges, please post a message on this forum which will enable us to make contact with you via a private message. A few of us are now in touch and are using a French avocat to deal with this matter.

Hi, thanks for responding. We went to Pantin for our first visit at the end of August. Had an excellent time. It's really easy to get around Paris from Pantin using the metro. Stayed in a 1-bed apartment that was not ours (Room 512) but was identical to ours and we were pleased with it. We travelled by car and parked in the underground car park which worked well. There's a really good supermarket in Pantin (leclerk I think its called). The concierge handed his notice in during the week we were there which meant we had no-one to hand the keys back to, so we had to post them to an address that he left when we returned to the UK. Hope they have a new concierge for your visit. We still haven't had a bill for the charges for that week so we don't know what the costs are likely to be. Mind you, we haven't received our rent for the last quarter yet, apparently they've had computer problems and lost our bank details - had to resubmit so hopefully we'll get it later this week. We selected 2 weeks use each year, our son is going to make use of our second week in November. Please keep in touch. I'd like to make contact with as many people as possible in case we do experience problems in the future. A large group of us will carry more weight than us all acting as individuals. Enjoy your stay in October.
