Speaking to the developers they are saying "last quarter of 2008" and "on or before 1st December 2008". So you are right not to plan on October 2008.

Hi,
I have invested in a 2 bedroom apartment in this development. I drive past the site atleast once a week to check on the progress. On a recent call to the office i was informed of delivery end of October. I have my doubts though. I was told by a colleague that once the building construction is complete it takes atleast a month to seek approvals from the fire department, municipality and Nakheel. So my guess at this point would be November or December.

Found this site by web-browsing. I've bought a flat offplan in the Lake Shore Towers development. I'm keen to be in touch with anyone else who's bought in this development
I'm based in London and I went to Dubai last October. One reason was for a site visit to view progress for myself. Quite disappointed when I was told that it was not in a state to have customers on-site. I certainly told them beforehand that a site visit was one of my main reasons of coming to Dubai. However enjoyed my break apart from that.
I recently asked the developer for an update and estimate on build completion. The (email) response I got back said that build completion would now be "last quarter of 2008" (- no longer July 2008.). Not impressed by this either. Basically any deposit monies paid by owners is not earning any interest or rental income during this delay period. I know that owners of other (now completed) buildings had similar delays - yes, its not just a lake shore towers! - does anyone know what they did about their delay? Could they claim any comppensation from the developer?

Hello All,
Im new to the site myself. I found it just browsing through. I have actually bougt a 2 bedroom in the lakeshore towers for approx. 1.5 Mio AED. I did a lot of research and found that this tower is one of the best towers in JLT as per location, positioning, and size. Also the developer Al Bodor apparently built Emirates Palace and half of Abu Dhabi and its their 1st project in Dubai so they want to really impress.
Hopefully everything I heard is true... but like I said, I really researched this for about 6 months before buying.
I am getting a little annoyed about the handover pushed back to September now. Originally it was June.
Anyway, let me know what all you think regarding everyhting in this tower.

Hi , is anyone else getting jittery about the slow progress of this development ? We invested early on and the building seems to be going on forever ! We are considering selling our 1 bed apartment before completion - any tips from anyone ?
