Hi All,
We just found this website, Was so pleased to find it.. and to read all your comments.
We purchased a 2 bed apartment in Block A. back in 2006 through MRI. We have not had the chance to go and see the development yet, so it was nice to see the pictures of the development.
Will keep in touch

Hi
Yes - I get totally confused by the Alpha Bank statements - I just file and forget them (not a good idea I know, but I hate thinking "finances"!
We ,also, had a phone call from Caroline Roseblade. She seems very nice and has bought an apartment in block A, so feels an affinity with the buyers there. We aren't buying the furniture package (too expensive, want to make our own chouices etc) but can't decide on how to rent yet. We're not impressed with having to pay out over 2000 euros for the linens/crockery in order to rent through MRI, although I can see the logic in everybody having the same. Seems very expensive for what you get (this word seems to apply to everything MRI does. LOL) | suekay |
Hi,
We don't have any plans to buy a furniture package with them, as we would prefer to choose everything ourselves and reckon that we can buyer it at a much lower price. We'll go out when it's finished and have a weeks holiday and buy everything then. Maybe if we are all organised enough we could arrange to buy our furniture from the same shop and get a discount? We're not sure what to do about rentals yet either. | ELLOY |
Just had a call from Caroline Roseblade from MRI asking about rentals etc and the furniture packs. HAs anyone used them before? Set up costs seem high, and the fact you cannot let your friends stay without paying MRI seems a bit harsh - has anyone had any feedback from anywhere else?

hello everyone. Just found this and thought i would write.
My wife and I bought with MRI in Block A. Does anyone know to what extent Horizon View has been sold out or not - this will obviously affect re-sale. What are people planning on doing once it is finally built? Rent it out, live in it, sell it! We are very unsure at present.
On another note, does anyone else get confused by the various Alpha Bank statements with interest, debits, credits all in several currencies?
Anyway, nice to 'meet' you all.

We're not in any rush either - for the same reasons. Also we go on holiday to the far East 23/4-9/5/09 so would appreciate a few weeks before going out to Cyprus.
I seem to remember that Hassapis are on a penalty clause ?cyp 250 a month if completion is delayed | suekay |
By the way, personally I'm not too worried about the possible delay. It gives us more time to decide what we're going to do with it and also hopefully mean it is ready nearer to the time when the golf course is finished, hopefully making them easier to rent out.
What do you all think? | ELLOY |
Hello,
I'm sorry for not posting any messages for a while but my laptop was very ill, but has made a miraculous recovery and now we're back online. Apart from that we don't really have any news. We chose our tiles and wood from the photos and had an e-mail from somebody at Hassapis saying that Phase 1 of the golf course would be beginning soon to be completed in 24 months including the golf course, club house, shops and restaurants. Then phase 2 and 3 would be completed by 2013 including the sports village and residential units.
Does anybody know of any golfing holiday tour operators which would be interested in taking on our apartments, in which case we might be a more attractive prospect if more of us get together, or do you think it would be better to all rent them out individually?
Thanks for posting the photos by the way.

Hi all!
New photos added!!............These were taken on Friday ans show the progress upto date!
This forum is getting awfully quiet out there! seems that there only a few people out there who have anything to say considering they have invested a lot of money in this development... well here's some new that hopfully might get a few people talking if not to the forum then at least to MRI, Solicitors, etc etc
News is out that the development may not be ready until June/July! Will this delay effect anyone out there? | PatMel |
Just back from Cyprus after a 9 hour flight delay. I got to see the site and take lots of photos which I'll post tomorrow. Ialso got to choose the woodwork and tiles........and finished up taking advice from Andreas because there was too much choice! So if anybody has left the choice to Hassapis, don't worry I'm sure you'll like his selection.
While over there, I passed another Hassapis- built apartment complex (Majestic Gardens in Tersefanou) I was able to peer through the windows and see the quality - it looked to have a good finish. I noticed that the apartments were in the process of being furnished in matching wood (white oak) so asked Andreas about sourcing the matching furniture. He said that Hassapis have a company which supplies furniture packages and has given me a name/contact number if anybody is interested nearer the time. We don't want a furniture pack as such, but would be interested in buying matching dining table.
Hassapis are pushing the builders to complete the apartments on time, but it seems there may be a small delay. I said that we weren't really bothered, but Andreas said that lots of owners want their apartment on time and Hassapis want their money......so they are pushing for completion on schedule
I asked about the golf course - Andreas doesn't know the time scale but it is definitely going ahead now that the minister has OK'd the desalination plant to be built on the golf course. If it doesn't start this year, then it will be the first quarter of 2009 | suekay |
Has anybody joined the MRI Aftersales?
I'm wondering if we never get any updates because we've not joined. After hearing nothing after October when building should have started, I emailed MRI head office and received a reply from somebody in Cyprus. When I had a further query I emailed this person ......no reply, Somebody at work is buying an apartment in Paphos, so I emailed her contact in Cyprus, and received a reply from that person informing me that MY contact had moved on. Hope you all followed this rambling tale! My point is.........we never get any info from MRI - it seems to me that they grab their commission and run!

Hi all
We just got back from Cyprus, and to tell you all the truth, We didn't want to come back!
The golf course has not started yet as there was a hold up regarding the water supply to the area. I believe it has been sorted now and work has started as we saw a JCB and a couple of trucks on the hills working while we were looking over the site of the golf course.
I managed to get some last minute pictures of the site before we left ad it is really coming on. I do feel that Kiti High Street needs to improve its facilities as we were looking around and only found a couple of nice tavernas (not including cafes) where tourist would feel comfortable in eating. This was confirmed when we visited Oroklini, where there are lots of new shops, restuarants and tavernas which looked approachable and inviting.
Has anyone had any real info from MRI yet regarding Horizon View?
I called 4 times in one day and was told that someone would call me back...no one called!

Have just booked a flight out to Cyprus for May 2nd. Hassapis kindly agreed to extend the deadline for choosing tiles etc. I'll try to find the site and take pics.
If PatMel reads this I'd be grateful for any directions......I'll be travelling by car from Larnaca | suekay |
Hello,
Yes thank you for the photos and for the update. I hope you had chance to enjoy some sunshine, what's the weather like there at this time of year? I was just wondering if you saw any signs of progress on the golf course at all? | ELLOY |
Thanks for the photos! Especially as you've spent time you could be enjoying yourself on holiday - it's much appreciated by those of us who can't get out there yet. I can't believe I'm actually seeing building work in progress after 2 years of imagining and planning. The photos don't make much sense to me but it's enough to see work has started. I can't imagine how the owners of the neighbouring villa in photo 5 must feel - I'd be devastated to find a new development so close to my property, but I think that's going to happen to more and more people as the area starts to get built up
Yvonne Steve- has the cost of your property been reduced to take account of the smaller dimensions? Looking on the Hassapis website, they appear to base the cost on the sq m of the apartment. Like you, i wouldn't be too happy at changes made after I'd agreed to buy. Our apartment has a lift shaft taking part of the bathroom, I hope they dont increase the size of the shaft or we'll lose the second bathroom which is already "compact" | suekay |
Photos uploaded..check out "Progress Photos" link..

Hi All from a Sunny Cyprus!
Its been a mad week over here as we had a very interesting meeting with Andri, Tony and Steve from Hassapis. The reason behind the alterations on certain parts of the development was because the planning office requested hassapis to alter the position on the lift shaft, and this was was out of their control. If you feel that your apartment may be affected.. Contact Tony at Hassapis.
I am not too happy with MRI as their aftersales team are so off the mark with updating clients it a waste of time ( More about that later!)
I will be uploading images shortly which will show that work has started, and is going acording to plan. All of my pics are looking from the bottom right corner of "Phase2", with Phase 1 block A and B in the background. I have taken them on different days just to show what was done over 2 week that we are here, I hope you can make sense of them!
If you want to know more, msg me privately or email us!

Hi ELLOY my apartment is Phase 1 Block B. Because of the planing the developer have been asked to change the specifications of the elevator shaft, this will cause a reduction to my apartment, about 7%.
PatMel on the 10th October 2007, talks about an 'owners club', that would be interesting. Joining together would give us better puchasing power of all the apartments. If you ask an agent to do it for you they would get the discount. I have just done my own apartment in Spain, bought better quality items and overhaul was much cheaper than letting an agent do it for me. Look forward to your comments PatMel, when you return from your trip to Cyprus.
With regards to a web site, I've already spoken to someone yesterday about this, not allowed to submit any links.
| YvonneSteve |
We've also had the e-mail about choosing the ceramic tiles and woodwork, and are going to choose them from the photos. I've asked them for an update as well about the development of both the apartments and the golf course. Will let you know if I get any response.
Haven't heard anything about them reducing the floor size of our apartment. | ELLOY |
I've also had a message this week to choose the tiling and woodwork by the end of April.
I purchased my apartment in Phase 1 Block B, and recently I received an email that Hassapis developer's want to reduce slightly smaller entrance. But further investigations and many emails later they wanted to reduce more, see the following:
Corridor area 2 metre square loss
Lounge/ Dining / Kitchen 2 metre square loss
Bathroom areas 1 metre square loss
Overall the areas of your apartment are 77 metre square covered area & 11 metre square veranda.
Overhaul I'll be loosing approx 7% of the floor space.
This is due to modifications to the elevator shaft, has anyone else had the request to reduce the floor space of their apartment?
I've just joined this forum and would be glad to hear from others, also I purchased through MRI.
| YvonneSteve |
Has anybody else had an email from Hassapis advising that we need to choose the woodwork and tiling by the end of April?
As we are due to go on holiday 8-25 March we can't get over to Cyprus (I did check out airfares for this weekend, but at £342 pp plus hotel plus carhire, it was working out too expensive, so we'll be choosing from photos)
It's exciting that things are moving at last | suekay |
Hi all!
Guess what?????
I have just been emailed by a contact at Hassapis who told me that tbuilding on the project commenced on the 7th of January 08 and anticipated delivery is expected May 09!!
They also said that at the moment all that is there are the concrete bases, but hopefully by march there will be more to see!
regards
Pat & Mel

Hi All
We also have been in touch with MRI, who informed us that work had'nt started yet.
We're going over in Easter, so if there is any movement we will let you all know.
Also mentioned in a previous msg, about setting up a website. I will be setting up a demo once we have some new pics of the plot and some interiors from Hassapis.
Pat

Welcome JeanW
I found your entry by accident as I rarely check this site these days because there's so little action. I did email MRI the other day and received a reply saying that building has not yet started. When did you buy and which agent did you use?
Have you checked out the Hassapis site? There's a virtual reality video showing the inside of the apartments - most impressive! | suekay |
hello neighbours, we have also purchased at horizon view. Any advice, news or just to say hello, - we would welcome a chat.
Jean and Stuart. | jeanw |
According to a post on www.cypruseastern.com, the golf course should be going ahead

According to an e-mail I have just recieved fromTony Papas, a senior guy at Hassapis Developers (who are to be heavily involved in developing the course), its all done and dusted. He says :-
"The Golf Course in Tersefanou will commence in January 2008, the water permit has just been approved, and phase 1 which includes the course itself and all the golf facilities along with 100 residential units will be completed in 24 months"
Anyone else heard similar? |

Hi
We aren't buying the furniture pack through MRI (do they even do one any more in Cyprus?) I've worked out that we can fully furnish the apartment down to all the nick nacks (?sp) for less than they charge for the basics. Also, I don't like the frumpy pine furniture they seem to offer in most countries. I've bought a couple of the high self-inflating 3' beds and we'll camp out in the apartment for the first few days!!
I hope the golf course IS built as there'll be more year -round rental potential, but if you look at the Hassapis website, prices have gone up by between 7.5 and 11.5 % since we bought last April (I'd downloaded an original pricelist to see if we'd got a good price, and the latest one shows the increases on each remaining property)
Good idea about the Horizon View website | suekay |
Hi Elloy,
Nice to hear from another buyer - welcome to Horizon View.
We would definitely be interested in joining up to an 'owner's club' in view of renting. Perhaps we could set up a 'Horizon View' website for apartments for rent.
We are booked to go out to Cyprus at easter next year March-April 08 so will definitely take some pictures of the site, hopefully with some development by then.
Are you both going to purchase a furniture pack through MRI? We're undecided whether to do it ourselves through say Ikea or let them sort it.
| PatMel |
Hello Suekay,
You seem very on the ball and organised! It would be good to share our findings every now and again, so if I do find any further info I'll let you know. Should we be worried about the golf course or do you think the apartments will hold their value regardless?
Thanks | ELLOY |
| Just checked Hassapis and see there are only 14 apartments left now - not bad before a brick has been laid! | suekay |
Hi Elloy
It's good to hear from another buyer. We plan on keeping our apartment and renting it out, if possible. We'd certainly be interested in join a group of like-minded owners. As for the golf course.............it depends who you want to believe! I've read that building is due to start in December, but posters in cypruseastern.com are VERY doubtful that it will ever get off the ground and that it's a marketing ploy to entice potential new owners! Apparently, development can't start until a desalination plant is built at a cost of many millions of pounds as it needs to be self-sufficient in water. I hope they're wrong!! | suekay |
Hello,
We bought our apartment in Horizon View last Summer also through MRI. We initially went to the exhibtion at Old Trafford and then went out to Cyprus and decided on the Horizon view development. Do any of you know if the golf course has been given full planning permission now? It seems to always be referred to as the "proposed golf course". If it has, do you know what stage it is at? Also are you planning on keeping the apartments or selling them? IF you are planning to keep them and rent them out, would it be a good idea to try to get a group of us owners together to try to rent them through a travel agent? Perhaps a specialized golf holiday operator?
Anyway all information and advice would be very welcome. | ELLOY |
| Hassapis site now shows only 20 of the original apartments are still for sale. At this rate they'll all have been sold before construction starts in October 2007 | suekay |
| I received an email from Macanthony yesterday. Work hasn't yet started, but they attached 2 photos of the field - complete with advertising board. | suekay |
I did visit Kiti in May, but drove round and round and round.................and still couldn't find the field! At least I got to see the area around Kiti. We saw the (undeveloped) beach front, then had lunch at McKenzie beach. I like the area even more second time round!
If you go into the developer's site www.hassapis.net, there is more info than supplied by MRI. It appears that 36 of the original 66 apartments have been sold. It also states that building work is due to commence in October 2007 with completion on track for March 2009. So much for MRI's email telling me that work was due to commence mid-May and they'd send me photos (I'm still waiting!!)
I've sent you a private message | suekay |
Hi,
I noticed in your previous post that you said you were going to visit Kiti in May, did you manage to go and if so, did you manage to get a look at the site?
Any info would be great, McAnthony don't seem to be able to tell us if work has started yet!

Hi
Nice to know somebody else is buying here. We bought "blind" from a property show in Manchester, and I was really impressed when I eventually got out there to view the plot and local area. I'm going to Cyprus again for a few days in May, so I'll visit the site again and see if there's been any development. If so, I'll post some photos
We are buying through Macanthony, who had sole rights in March 2006, but I see it's being advertised by others as well recently, so no doubt there'll soon be other buyers out there.....let's hope they find this site to share info | suekay |
Hi all
We are also buying a property on this development too and also looking to share info with others purchasing there as well!
We first visited Cyprus in 2004 and stopped at a friends newly built house in Paphos. We loved the area and the way of life but thought that we would not of been able to afford what we were looking for at the time, as prices were rising quite steadily.
Like Suekay above, we visited Cyprus again in August 2006 and did the tour around alot of areas including ayai-Napa, but settled on Kiti. We stood in the field where the development is taking place, and we were shown around the local area which is just fab. Eventually we decided to go ahead after looking around most of the developments in the Laranca area.
Yes there were some developments that were nicer and more expensive, but this one pushed all the right buttons.
| PatMel |
| We're buying a 2 bed apartment on this development and would love to share info with anybody else buying here. I visited Cyprus in July 2006 and saw the field where it is to be built! There were local authority roads leading to the edge of the plot, but building work had not started at that time | suekay |
