hi papa thanks for information! but do you know when could be the new overhanding date? they have usually after 6 months delay a copmensation to pay.do you know more about?
i am worried it could be a shwidle and al attar never beginns with the construction.please reply me!

I have received a 'Memorandum of Understand' confirming that the completion date shall not be fulfilled because of unavoidable delays in handing over the project land by the master Developer to Al Attar.
The memorandum goes on to state that there a new completion date will be confirm once the civil construction commences. The 4th installment will only be requested once the basement has been completed.

As I gather from Al Attar's website, ground work is in progress. Nakheel is also starting with the infrastructure.

Ushisadat, I did not mean to alarm. It seems the delay is between 8 months to a year. Still it will be a wonderful investment.

| I feel no need to worry. Projects from other companies have also been delayed from 1 to 2 years. One project in Dubai has been recently handed over to the customers after two years delay. | Papa |
| Hi, everybody. Nakheel has awarded infrastructure contract for IC phase 2&3 to a consortium of companies that include GMT and limitless. This work will finish around August 2007. As I understand the construction work should start by now. | Papa |

As I am new to this grouph, I thought mebers might like to know that I received the following response from ALATTAR on 7 October:
As per reference to you email regarding Global point, We already finished he initial site activiies like soil investigation, demacration and we submitted all the reports o said initial site activities together with complete set of drawings to the Master Developer Nakheel and International City LLC and we will get the approval very soon, we will commence the main site activities and construction works immediately within few days. | Ali07 |

| I have today received the following along with plans that I have uploaded: Subject: Vancouver Tower (TO4), Toronto Tower (TO2) and Global Point (TO1) in International City Phase III 2nd May 2006 We would like to inform all property owners in the above mentioned projects that we have finally received amended code and new master plan for International City Phase II & III, from Nakheel on 19th April 2006.Although projects has suffered the delays because of these changes, since plots didn’t handover to us to start the construction for a long period, but new master plan and the land uses are arranged to achieve a functional layout promoting a mix-use environment that maximizes owners and investor returns and ensures the long term viability of the region as per Nakheel statement. The following amenity & infrastructure plots have been considered in new master plan: 10A. Community – Civic Use (Police Fire/Library/Post Office) - 10B. Community – Education - 10C. Community – Religious Use - 10D. Community – Utilities (District Cooling/132kv/Maintenance/Sewerage Plant) - 10E. Community – Transit Station - 11A. Open Space – Plaza - 11B. Open Space – Park - 11C. | Just spoke with contact following request for an update and he responded with the following: "As we all know master devloper for International City Project is Nakheel. And there was all desert when you bought the Apartment. First Nakheel will do its landscaping work they will make infastructure and after that they will hand over the plot to us and then we will start construction. Now a days Nakheel is working on the site and they are doing landscaping and we hope that they will handover us the land (Plot) in May. And then we will start our construction."
