I currently live in Freemens Meadow, and have done for a number of months now. Whilst the place looks amazing at first glance, (which, along with its convenient location, is what drew me here), living here is unfortunately not quite so good.
There is constant noise from neighbour's music, probably around 7 in 10 nights, and also throughout the day. (I'm not sure if there are a lot of students here) This is getting constantly worse and more frequent. When I ask neighbour's politely to turn the music down they are often very rude, confrontational, and sometimes turn it up instead. This may not seem so bad, but trust me, it really gets you down after a while.
Recently a sofa was stolen from the the lobby area out the front of the elevator on one of the floors! Small things often go missing here, such as paintings from the wall, but stealing a sofa..!
Rubbish is left everywhere - people just can't be bothered to even put things in bins. Often there will be things like orange peel, pizza boxes, empty beer boxes, half empty beer bottles left in the lift and public lobby areas. Many residents just seem to not give a dam.
The layout, whilst looking nice, makes the noise pollution worse - balcony layout of nearby triplex apartments mean that voices get projected precisely into bedroom windows of the main apartments, which means normal conversations can be heard perfectly whilst in bed at 11pm or midnight.
The Sales Office are pretty hopeless, and the "security office" don't actually do anything except occaionally clamp people who park here when Leicester City FC play.
Incase you're wondering, I will be moving out as soon as I am financially able to.
If you still fancy living here, then go for it, but just think about the points mentioned above.
