Hi, haven't been on here for a while so sorry for the slow response.
I evetually dropped CFP (and the fees I'd paid them) and am using Bulgarian Home Loans (an English company) to help find a mortgage. I seemingly had a mortgage nailed down in April with Piraeus but they back out right at the last minute. We have since been trying with Raiffeisen but they won't get back to us. Worse still, Bulgarian Home Loans have warned that all their staff are on risk of redundancy and that most banks are pulling out of mortgages for Bansko left, right and centre. I have been advised to brace myself for the worst...
And still absolutely zero correspondence from MRI. | jamiew |

How's it going Jamie? Your mortgage through yet. Do you have some sort of contract with the lawyers or a breakdown of their services for the fee (1800euros).

Is anyone having problems with the valuation of their properties in this forum. I bought through MRI and have now found that I have been misled on various issues such as mortgages, value, VAT and lots of other things. I am trying to recruit other purchasers who have had problems and form a group so that we can challenge the ethics of the sales technique used.

Has anyone else used the lawyers and finance advisors recommended by MRI (Martinez-Echevarria and Capital Finance Partners, respectively)?
I've so far not encountered any real problems with the lawyers other than the fact they changed the relevent personel and failed to advise me of it.
CFP, the mortgage advisors, however, are beginning to lose my trust. I have not yet sealed the mortgage through them but have paid out almost £500 for membership to their 'club'... Anyone else have similar feelings about them? | jamiew |
