hi again lacampbell,

just thought about your furniture ....

are you sure about leather sofas in that heat - you will spend half your life removing the layers of skin you have left stuck to it each time you get up ..... !! - OUCH

Hi lacampbell,

there are a couple of forums with a lot of advice, including where to buy furniture etc.

Try www.stayinsharm.com or www.goredsea.com

We are out in July, and we are going to have a look at a few places .... I'll keep you informed.

Hi all

We are owners who bought into Phase 4 in Dec 2006.  Just back from 2 weeks in EE and pleased to say it all seems to be going well. Now in the process of arranging furnishings for apartment that they say will be ready end Sept. Does anyone have any good advice re puchasing the following in Egypt:-

Flat screen TV, Stainless Steel coloured fridge freezer, L-shaped leather corner sofa

Don't want to go to Cairo as the traffic there petrifies me!

Also would love to mention the great snacks at Hotspotz during the day but isn't it a shame you cant get a beer or a glass of wine.  Hi to Kim and Percy.

Hi Jaarni,

The work was just re-starting all over Sharm after the WEF conference, and the EE construction workers were back at work on Saturday 24 May.

I will try and post some photos I have of Phase 4 (wish me luck !) - they haven't dug the pool yet, but construction appears to be progressing nicely.

Hi Nigel

I am Claire from apartment J1, when I signed up for this site I didn't realise every time I added a message I would show up as Nala (my user name also my dogs name) I thought that was some kind of pass word, never mind.

Claire

Nala

Hi Nala,

One question ... these are the same photos that Marcus posted on the google forum .. are you marcus (although he has his own 'nickname' for this site) ?

We stayed at our apartment over the Easter weekend, the building work was intence, they have started work behind the complex office, I think this is phase 4. They have also started work on the other apartments that are behind Jenettes block. I think they have also dug out swimming pools at both of these locations. They have planted grass and trees at the front of the hotel and are starting to put up waterslides. Whilst there we went to La Strada, Mcdonalds is open and they are advertising Metro and Hard Rock Cafe comming soon, we also went paint balling.

hi nigel,ha' yes i had to earn many brownie points for my solo trip but we had just completed the purchase and wanted to iron out any snags(there wasnt any).we fly out as a family 2 weeks today for 6 days only but hope to go back november again with some friends.very pleased with the decision to be on EE in nabq and think it will prove to be a good investment.speak soon      warrenlord of waz

hello warren,

yes, of course I remember you. I was wondering .... how did you get away from the family to go and stay in Sharm?

Tracy and I were out (without the kids) in August to 'set up' the apartment (we bought E1 in the end, rather than holding out for Phase 4), and out again in early January with the kids - I think you had originally planned to go in early Jan., but had changed your plans.

I am trying to find a reason to go out again ASAP (I think the floors need cleaning, and I MUST go and do it myself !!) but its quite tricky to get one past 'the boss' !

Nigel.

e1Nigel
hello nigel remember warren and julia from march last year ? we have now completed the purchase of L21 and are very happy with it.i visited in november with couple of the chaps for research purposes! we are due to go as a family for the first time in march for half term and hopefully one other visit this year.nabq bay has certainly come on with lots of new shops, bars and restaurants opened.didnt notice phase 4 work in november but then again didnt surface much before lunch.hey ho got to go but hopeully see you soon      warrenlord of waz

I would just like to add that we are VERY pleased with everything about Egyptian Experience (I know Marcus had an issue last year about utilities costs etc - are you happier about these now Marcus?) and I would like to add how nice it is each time we visit to meet other owners who, as I keep saying, are all "jolly nice people" !

We are next out at the end of May (20th - 27th), and look forward to meeting more owners and seeing the progress on building work for Phase 4 and of the hotel and also of the shops etc at La Strada ..... I wonder if the 'Metro' will be open up there by then ?

Hi Jaarni
I am waiting for a studio apartment and there are no pictures because just after the building started - it stopped .My apartment should have ready in August 2007 ,but I'll just have to wait and see.The foundations for the studios are there behind the office ,I had them pointed out to me last I visited ,but I was told that they may have to be demolished because they may have been damaged when a bulldozer hit them, this was to do with the dispute over the land.
There is a floor plan on the Egyptian Experience website but its only tiny.I hope when I next visit in May that there will have been some progress, but as I've said I am happy to wait within reason and agree with Nigel that I have faith in Jennette & Mohamed , they are doing all they can to resume building.
snorkel

Hello Jarrni,

I don't think there are any pictures of the inside of the studios, mainly because there are none finished yet (Phases 1,2 and 3 were all two bedroom). I do understand that the shape of the apartments will be very similar to that of the 2 bedroom, only with a smaller floorplan.

I have great faith in Jennette and Mohamed, and as they say that the internal finishes are the same as the 2 bedroom, you can believe them. I am sure that the original 'pack' I got from Egyptian Experience included a floor plan of the studios, did you get one of these ?

I may have some other stuff in my big "Egypt" box, which I might be able to dig out and scan for you (although not right away) if you need any more info.

e1Nigel

Hi Everybody

My wife and i are looking to buy one of the developments, we are having trouble finding any pictures of inside the studios. Please can anybody help?

thanks jaarni

jaarni

and another thing .......

A heated pool will be great for the winter months, and for those with kids - we can sit around one of the other pools and send our kids to play in the heated pool and annoy all those "newcomers" in phase 4 !!! LOL

e1Nigel

Just a note - I have noticed that several people have asked about insurance for their apartment.

We had a quote from Hiscox (via our usual insurance brokers) for about £145 for a year. This is a good price, but we have not included for letting to "strangers"

e1Nigel

Hi,

Photos are great, glad to see things are progressing and the news about the heated pool is really good!, Im counting the sleeps til i go for easter to check it all out. Which beach is the photo taken on it looks lovely , ive been to sea club, sharks bay and the regency but dont recognise this one!!

lynsky
Hi Everyone
Good to see the pictures. Also I have been told by Jenette that indeed Phase 4 is to have a heated pool and looking at the website yesterday its been updated again so things seem to be happening.
snorkel

Hi everybody

Just posted photos of hotel next to Egyptian experience;dated 26 jan.Things are moving very quickly. They are clearing land in front of phase 1&2; for another hotel ?The land BEHIND phase 3 is being cleared.Fingers crossed this is the start of PHASE 4 & a proper access road.Maybe phase 4 could have a HEATED POOL; just a thought

marcusdw1
Hi Lynsky
Look forward to seeing your photos in March .I have spoken to Jenette recently and things are now moving in the right direction ,fingers crossed building will restart very soon on phase 4 and if  anyone else as noticed it now says November 2008 for completion of studios.I have a flight booked for May but think I will change it to the end of the year in the hope it will be ready ,so if anyone does see any progress on phase 4 it would be great to see some photos, throughout this coming year .
snorkel

Hi,

just found this forum having bought my apartment last year on phase 3.Nearly opted to wait for a ground floor one on phase 4 but then took the plunge and bought top floor rather than wait.Got to say that the top floor is well worth the extra money for the easy access to the roof alone. We spend every evening up there watching the sun set over the mountains and always seem to have the place to ourselves, that view really takes your breath away.Hope you dont have to wait too long for your apartments but its nice to see people impressed enough with the complex to be prepared to wait.Look forward to seeing the finished product soon.Im back there in March so will post pictures of any new developments. The hotel next door is due to open in May we are told, so things are really buzzing in Nabq!

lynsky

Hi snorkel

I am also waiting for a 2 bed apartment in phase 4 & like you flew out in October as had pre booked the flight with the intention of taking over the apartment. We stood in the concrete structure that one day hopefully will be our apartment. I did like what i saw of the completed complex and will be happy enough to hold on. Egyption Experience were good in the fact that they picked us up from the airport and put us up in an completed apartment for free & said they will do the same again if we want to go out again before completion. Jeanette has said the new plans for the land between us & the beach will be better than the original ones.

Regards Ade

egyptexperience
Hi Everyone
I am a new member .Is anyone out there also waiting for a studio apartment as I am ?
Should have been ready in August 2007 but building ceased around June/July last year due to a dispute over the land.
I had a flight booked for October 2007 so still went ahead and travelled having previously visited the complex in December 2006. The transformation was amazing ,the gardens look excellent ,the staff are great ,sort of a taxi service organised (and they never let us down or were late) and the snack bar was useful.
I travelled with the intention of deciding wether to wait or pull out because I was so fed up and frustrated by the lack of progress since last summer - but on staying at and seeing the comlex I am happy to wait ( within reason).
Hope to hear from anyone else waiting .   SNORKEL

PLEASE ONLY BUY INTO PHASE 1.2 &3 at EGYPTIAN EXPERIENCE.[ie COMPLETED COMPLEX ]

ALSO PLEASE VISIT BEFORE BUYING

marcusdw1

Hi everyone, I want to say that I agree, you do need to watch E.E. The utilities charges are one to watch. My apartment is nice & the complex is great, but some of the people running things are not! Some are very unprofessional & don't see the need of customer satifaction. But saying all this I am still looking forward to my next visit. Regards Baggy

Hello Sinai

marcusdw1

hello all,

i would like to say i have bought a 2 bedroom apartment from egyptian experience, and all along it has been easy, the information has been given to me when i asked for it at every step of the way, and we went out in december to stay in the finished apartment and the complex moved me to tears, it was better than i could have ever expected, the staff there are absolutely fantastic, they go out of there way to do all that they can, i hope in the future if my finances permit to buy more properties on this complex, but my overall aim is to live there, what a fantastic job has been done, and the landscape gardens even though in the early stages are beautiful, i feel as though each time i go there i am going back home to paradise, where i would be content to live with my family forever, as for the planes i stood on the roof terrace when they came over, that was an experience in itself and i loved it.egyptian experience deserve to win best development in egypt, what a credit to them THANK YOU!

sinai
Hello Marcusdw1 - We have purchased a property in phase3 but haven't actually been out to the complex yet.  We are going out on 20.2.07 and was wondering if you can give me any tips/advice etc.  Did you encounter any problems at all when you took your apartment over.  Your photographs look really nice and I do hope all went well with you.pix
Hi Marcusdw1,have to say the egyptian exp dev does look very good and if nubia sharm is finished to at least a comparable standard I will be very happy. The build quality seems as good as e.exp and I get some control over everything else so I can`t complain.I did buy a 95m2 apartment 2 bed with the roof terrace and additional pergola area and having stayed in a 2 bed 70m2 apartment on the e.exp site in november have a feel for the space.I will be returning 20th jan to tie up contracts and grant power of attorney etc.I will also be looking at the fitments and various furniture available so can advise on my return.Sort of surprised to hear you were interested with nubia sharm as I thought you were after a 1 bed elsewhere.Your investments elsewhere must be good to consider montazah as although exclusive the premium to get there seems high, especially as it will take a fair while for the rest of the montazah area to catch up.Good news for your e.exp apartments though as when montazah eventually joins up with Nabq it can only have a positive effect on your prices. On the way back last time I spoke to a fella who had bought there 5th row 70m2 2 bed 58K sterling-ouch.Take care and hopefully we`ll speak again soon, regards Sheddie.sheddie

Hi Everyone, downloaded pictures from Egyptian Experience website to this site; it looks GREAT.Off to Sharm on wed 17 Jan ;so looking forward to moving into my Apart.

Sheddie 22,did to buy into Nubian Sharm because I thinking of buying into Dev; any info would be great.

I visited this site in mid november and have to say that the developement looks stunning and I can`t believe how much has been done.Very impressive.sheddie

have now posted updated photos

Hi marcusdw1,hope you are well seems ages now since we shared the minibus back to the airport in november(i was the one who had already paid).Apologies for the incorrect spelling of qantas. Can`t comment on if the nubia sharm is on time,as anytime this year is fine with me.Theres no doubt the Egyptian exp complex is a good long term investment as most of the other ones will be also. Are you still buying a one bedroom apartment as well?.I took lots of photos of phase 3 as well but don`t think i posted them on here, although the 13th & 15th nov i think are mine but i`m not taking the chance of looking and having to re-write this message.I expect its still lovely and sunny and will be still when i visit again in mid jan.Regards Sheddie22.sheddie22

Hi everybody,I'd like to clear up a few points.

Photos posted bye sheddie22 [dated 15 NOV]are of phase 4 which is not  scheduled to be ready until  AUG 2007.All other photos are posted bye me & are of phase 3 which  is on time; I,m actually getting my apart early!!PLEASE note Sharm Bride,Sierra Resort,Nubian Sharm & Oyoun Resort[formally HILTON] are ALL at least 6 MONTHS BEHIND SCHEDULE!!!

I,ve just come back from the complex & It looks amazing  ALL the finishing problems with PHASE 1&2 are not present in Phase 3.

I,m also the QANTAS employee[please note No U in QANTAS]sheddie22 mentioned in regards to the airport.YES we are close to the airport & suffer from aircraft noise; as does the SAVOY,FOUR SEASON etc.

Please note EGYPTIAN EXPERIENCE Phase 3 just 'WON' BEST Development in EGYPT bye CNBC.

One very HAPPY OWNER ps I also have Property investments in AUSTRALIA&PORTUGAL;This Develomet in EGYPT is a very GOOD LONG-TERM INVESMENT.

marcusdw1
Hi,I just wanted to say the shower lights and sockets were observations not complaints and generally the quality of the build was excellent. Also you are quite right about aircraft noise over sharm especially nabq but i also spoke to a quantas worker who felt it was extremely unlikely about resiting the runway but you never know.Moving it would benefit everyone in the area.I am also pleased to hear you`re happy with your purchase. All the best regards Sheddiesheddie22

I have recently returned from my apartment and the progress of phase 3 is amazing with so much more being offered than was orginally stated. I have to say the finishing is a lot better than phase 1 and phase 2 and I think the socket issue has been resolved. The airport runways are due to be moved to the other side of the Peace road but I expect this will not be in 2007, aircraft noise is an issue all over Sharm. I do no think all the planes come over the develpment and they certainly have not bothered me, I know from another owner who is a pilot that they sometimes use the second runways when the main runway is undergoing maintenance which causes them to come closer to us. The Russians planes are a problem and these have been banned already in Europe. I have not had my lights go out when taking a shower. Sorry I cannot post any photos. I used the company solicitor without a problem. I feel very confident with Egyptian Experience

philae

Hi, First of all thanks to Sheddie for directing me to this site via a forum (I never knew it existed). Seems like overall the expereinces are good but wondered how much of an issue the planes are and also can anyone recommend a solicitor as I'd prefer not to use one recommended by the company.

Thanks...Steve

Hi All,I recently stayed at the Egyptian Exp complex on a viewing trip to Hurghada and Nabq bay mid november. Most developments now are 2nd line ie over the road and this is no exception so the use of hotel facilities is becoming the norm and doesn`t seem to be a problem at the moment. You will have an awkward trip to the hotel over what will become the main highway to sharm, but to be honest it was worth the trip as the facilities were great and I had the best meal I ever have had in sharm in a restaurant in the sea life. The beach though is not very deep before the coral and the current as is common here was particularly fierce before the tide drops in the afternoon. The apartment was well built and spacious enough but let down a bit by the lack of finishing quality regards tiling sockets door fittings etc. This though seems pretty normal for egypt so don`t be too put off, just ask for a bit more care when signing up.I did though wonder about the electrics as the shower spotlights were not proseal waterproof and kept blowing when the shower was used. Also the position of the sockets left a lot to be desired, trifling though it may seem a total pain for the cooker and microwave, which incidently did not have a proper designated supply as in the UK.Maybe this is ok for 110volt supplies?.While there I chatted with owners and most seemed happy with things which is a good sign. One slight fly in the ointment though you are right under the end of the runway at Ophira airport and even though the large earbusting russian jets are allegedly to be banned early 2007 with the expected increase of air traffic you can`t avoid the take off noise.I have posted some pictures to maybe assist someone in deciding if this is for them or not.If you require any more information or pictures drop me a reply and I will be only too happy to give you any further info.sheddie

ps I didn`t buy there in the end.

sheddie22
I have also bought into phase 3 & I,m very happy with egyptian experience.I,ve just posted photos of the dev & it looks amazing;click on progress photos[esp 10 oct 2006]marcusdw1
We have bought in Phase 3 and have  found the whole process so far surprisingly trouble free (fingers crossed) compared to some of the horror stories we have heard from people purchasing apartments in Hotel-run resorts and we are really pleased that we decided to go with Egyptian Experience.  The project is still due to be finished on time and the amount of information we receive from the company is excellent.  saundersdekd

We are really happy with our top floor and being exclusive but go for ground if you want easy access to the pool and gardens. i know some people are renting but we are not. There will be the biggest supermarket in Sharm just a 5 minute drive away opening in a few months and there is small shop on site but only basics at the moment. It is easy to travel on the blue and white minibuses that take you into Sharks Bay, Namma Bay or Nabq Bay for just a few pennies. Egyptian experience did deliver phase1 and phase2 on time and the quality is excellent, I was there in August and I was told phase 3 is on target to finish on time. We are pleased with our investment

philae

Hi I am looking to buy with this company and so far have only heard good reports. could any one contact me with any information about this complex or other favourable alternatives? Is anyone renting out their property and if so how succesfully? are top floor appartments really worth the extra money or would a garden foor be more accesable. Is there a bus service into town and are ther supermarkets near by.

I love Sharm  and feel it has excellent investment potential but it is a mine field to find someone who will deliver on time and not stint on quality hopefully Egyptian experience are a company I can trust.
