Dear All
I have bought a 2 bed on Desert Pearl 2 which completes in December 2008. I am now considering selling it on before completion. Has anyone attempted to do this on this development or others?
If so how should I go about it. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
thanks | dang |

| Hi to all, I have lived in Hurghada for 2yrs now and have gone through the nightmare or having a villa built, this is Egypt and therefore nothing is straightforward however i go past the pearl developments on a daily basis and must say the pearl 1 is looking very beautiful. They polish the marble outside most days and the gardens look lovely. I dont know why you are having to have furniture from thier suppliers but i know for sure you can get furniture here for a very reasonable cost. Good luck folks. | p666ats |
| was thinking of buying 1 of the remaining units on dp1 are they a good buy how much are the furniture packs, what are the presictions for rental? | tracym |
| Have bought a 2 bed on Desert Pearl 1, but have heard (from Delise Designs) that there are now delays on completion date, if anyone knows or has heard anything about this would be grateful if you could share it. Has anyone arranged insurance on their property? | lisalcl |
Any one else slightly amazed at the front of WWD? I had a letter in September 19th stating that I could source furniture myself as long as it met the standards of the rental company that they were in the process of signing, great I thought - I can have a choice and get real wood furniture - not 1 up from ply with only some of it being real wood. Next the rental company have emailed stating that we have to have the furniture pack stuff or be in a second rate rental pool - I contacted the fellow to see why this was as I have it in writing from WWD that we can source our own without it having an impact - He has replied to say that WWD made it a clause of the contract !!! - I think this is very under-hand - comments appreciated! | Melisande |

Hi,
I have a 2 bed in DP 1. But.. I don't think that the furniture pack is all that. 1 choice? Considering the goods are being made in cairo I think they are expensive. Has anyone else found out about the safety standards that need to be met as I am looking to furnish myself, especially now that they have back tracked and said that we don't have to use D'Elise Design to be in the rental pool??
Thanks | Melisande |

Just been and viewed the furniture pack.
Very impressed, although a little expensive the quality is of a high spec and cannot wait to see it all installed, but take into the shipping and delivery turns out not too bad a price.
Nice one Delise | stustu12 |

Hi all we had the same experience of our apartment being sold too two different people??
We first paid the 40% deposit on the first day of sales and where the third people to do so.We got details etc from the Spanish side after a few angry phone calls. All the paper work was completed wrongly in Spain and so when it was transfered to the UK side of the business alot of people had no contracts or found that there apartments had actually been DOUBLE sold.
We refused point blank to move apartments unless we received some compensation which they have given us and we have now moved down 1 floor directly underneath our originall.Overall we are not to worried re the management side as we used Lifetime lawers and then used a private lawer just to double check stuff and all went well with no problems. And to help matters they are also well in front with the build and reckon on a month early. Also gone up at least 51/2 thousand so even if sold when finished we make a few bob.I have found the furniture pack a little expensive though. | stustu12 |
Hi all,
I too, have reserved an apartment in this complex (3bed), but have been totally hacked off with the response from Worldwide Destinations. We reserved back in October and it took us 2 months to get any receipt for the deposit we paid. Once they sent the contracts to us, I thought it best to get them checked out by an English speaking lawyer in Egypt. She came back with lots of changes and questions that needed answering of which I forwarded to WD back in Feb. After numerous emails, we still received no response by the end of May. I have now issued a letter to WD, telling them that I now wish to get my deposit back as they obviously do not value my investment and I have instructed my solicitor to start proceedings.
Funilly enough, a few weeks ago, I received lovely copies of the contracts that had been bound properly with a lovely accompanying letter through the post. All the details that I had previously requested to be ammended STILL had not been changed! - they are absolutely useless!
I just give up
Cheers

OK.
I have had an apartment reserved for about 8 months now, I was one of the first in. I have recently found out (not through the developer) that the floor layout has been changed and my apartment is now on the other side of the building. If mine has moved so have a lot of others. You can not speak to the developer and all there agents are told that under no curcumstances should they pass on the developers details to clients. I will be pulling out of this one and my best advise is for all of you to do the same.
If you are interested go here http://pm.dpcinternational.com/availability.php?action=view&dev=0 You can see all of the current availability. The Agent Packs are very enlightning. | ngreen |
