Hi everyone.
We too have purchased an Appt and look forward to reading more stories/updates. I have written to Italian connection regarding water boilers etc and will update once I hear - does anyone have any news on this or anything related?
What do you know about air conditioning electrics?
Latest completion date?
Thanks Lou for letting me know about the forum....very helpful site for us all.

Hi all,
We are from Ireland and have bought an apartment in 'Residencial Amusa', Caulonia which is a different complex to 'Amusa Mare'. We were on holiday in Caulonia in July this year to see the progress being made and were pleasently surprised with the work going on. Italian Connection told us that it should be completed ahead of schedule next year. The new schedule date should be summer 2009. We also receive a three monthly report from Italian Connection . The latest is that it is up to roof level and including roof on some apartments.

Hi, we have also been told that hot water boilers are not included but we haven't heard anything since, I guess it's a question for Medsea/Italian Connection?

Hi everyone. I have just joined this site. I am from Ireland and have also bought in Amusa but feel I'm not being kept informed by either the solicitor or the agent in Ireland. Can somebody give me an e-mail address for a contact in Medsea to get an update. I signed contracts in February but have never received new contracts with the new closing dat. I'm a bit frustrated by the lack of information but thats my own fault. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see they are progressing with the building.
Any questions please contact us

Hello there,
I have also bought at the Amusa development. so great to hear some of the positive comments posted here. I'm hoping to visit in October but will be checking this site regularly for news. I hear building is progressing well but don't know exactly what that means! If anyone has any photos to post it would be great. I'm not sure how these things work so won't write too much but hopefully will get the hang of it
Bye for now | niron |

hi janet ,
did you receive my email address,if not i'll try to send it to you again, kenny | kenny1968 |
Hi,
@pod1: we are selling A3 and C4, both in the first row. Do you know sb who might be interested? Pictures would be great, I saw the development last october, I hope lots changed... | LucieK |
HI Kenny
the weather was great 26-28 degrees.the beach was empty just us.The town was busier than we remembered more shops and cafe's.Do you remember the square by cafe allen (now planet cafe)? They are developing it so that can only be good news.
The car parking is around the outside just not in the centre so the garden stays and has footpaths.
By the way we wnet to look at the furniture and there is a separate one for the amusa and vista sila and it only costs 2900 euros.if you let me have your e-mail i will send the pictures of the furniture to you. It was very good quality and nicely finished we were quite impressed.
janet | pod1 |
thanks for the info, but if the orange trees stay, does this mean there will be no long term parking for our cars, as i thought that the car park was meant to be where the orange trees are now?
by the way what was the weather like.

Hi all
Just got back from a wonderful week in calabria. The apartments are comin g along really well lots of men on site. we met with the architect rocco he told us that a new road is being built from the collinetta and down to us the road at the moment is at the side of the supermarket so we don't have to pass those other buildings.the other entrance off the main road is now sealed off. The pool is going to be 15m by 10 and is going to be rectangular and not oval. he also said that the whole site is going to be gated and that we will each have a card that opens the gates. the orange groves are staying as a garden and also a small area at the back of the complex towards the wall. no parking is allowed in the central area but you can stop to unload your shopping and then have to move.
luciek which apt are you selling?
we have photos of the apts and will download shortly.

Hi Kenny
i think there is an Ikea in naples i did look a while back and this is a possibility. We are going to Capo vaticano in may for a week and we are going to go over and have a look at the furniture from the brochure as they don't quote any sizes but we have also heard that there is a large modern shopping centre in Siderno so we will also have a look to see what is on offer.
The only good thing about a furniture package is that you don't have to look around for everything.
janet | pod1 |
hi janet
we too have had the same brochure, and must admit were not too impressed with what you got for your money. the photos show more furniture than you would actually get in your package .we are looking into the possibility of buying in england and shipping out, or finding the nearest ikea store in italy ,what do you think ?
kenny | kenny1968 |
Hi kenny
Today we received the furniture package brochure from Italian connection we had to ask for it i emailed them . The packs start at5657 euros for a 2 bed apt and go up to 9448 euros. They include beds and bed side cabinets, bedside lamps , curtains pictures, dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, tv washing machine, cooker and hob and lots of bits and pieces for the kitchen. We just did a quick comparison in the argos book going middle of the road and its about the same.
Hope you find this useful]
janet | pod1 |
thankyou for the info, i do have some resent photos of the developement but am totally usless with computers and have no idea how to up load things as you say, but look forward to seeing yours and the info you get from medsea
kenny | kenny1968 |
Hi kenny
thanks for the info. the developers have changed since we bought last year and we have just been sent new contracts with new completion dates. our original stated completion being 2008 and not 2009. we don't mind though. A bit of information that you may find useful is that you can get weekly updates from medsea estates. (i only found out on tuesday). today they sent me the most recent photgraphs of the development and also stated that they were doing the inspection today and would forward the inspection details asap.
i will try and upload the pictures and put them on the progress photos
Janet | pod1 |
pod,(sorry dont now your name) but according to my contract that ive just looked at, bella calabria are the agents selling the properties at the amusa , and the builders are a company called immobiliare costruzioni turistiche s.r.l , hope this helps

| kenny1968 |
Hi kenny
Have you had new contracts from your solicitors to say that a new company Bella Calabria are now managing the development and we have a new completion date of november 2008.?
We were wondering if our 2000 euro voucher towards furniture still stands and whether the same finish to the apartment will apply.
i am going to contact the solicitors this week and find out and will let you know.
| pod1 |
| thankyou for your reply i thought i might be the only one to have bought there. please keep me informed it will be much appreciated,my wife was out there in feb and the ground work was in place if that helps in any way.i have some phtos somewhere and will try to upload them so you can see yourself | kenny1968 |
